연세대학교 건축역사도시유산 연구실은 1986년 시작된 김성우 교수님의 건축역사이론 및 도시설계 연구실의 뒤를 이어, 건축과 도시의 과거를 추적하고, 현재적 의미를 발견하며, 미래로 이어지는 유산만들기(Heritagization)에 관한 연구를 수행합니다.

인류가 살아온, 살아가고 있는, 또한 앞으로 살아갈 시간의 이야기에 귀기울이고, 가치있는 기억을 남겨 미래 세대로 전해지는 유산이 될 수 있도록, 탄탄한 역사 연구를 기반으로 유산의 가치와 의미를 발견하며 다양한 시간의 적층 속에서 함께 살아갈 지속가능한 미래를 고민합니다. 

The Architectural History and Urban Heritage Laboratory at Yonsei University, following the legacy of Professor Kim Sung-woo's laboratory, established in 1986, continues research in Architectural History. The laboratory conducts research on tracing the past of architecture and cities, discovering their contemporary significance, and exploring the process of heritagization that leads to the creation of heritage for the future.

By listening to the story of time, encompassing the past, present, and future of human existence, and striving to preserve valuable memories for future generations, the laboratory envisions a sustainable future where diverse layers of time coexist, based on historical research to discover the value and significance of heritage.
